Ibe was the goddess of eternal youth and beauty, the patroness of elegance and charm. She was the youngest daughter of Zeus and Hera. The name Ivi means "youth" in the Greek language.

Ibe was the goddess with the exclusive power of influencing eternal youth, charm and beauty. He had the ability to be able to restore youth to mortals and ensure the eternal youth of the gods.

Hebe supplied the gods of Olympus with Nectar and Ambrosia – the drink of eternal youth and immortality. In art, the goddess Hebe is usually shown holding a cup of ambrosia and almost always with her father Zeus, who is in the form of an eagle.

As a deity, Hebe was one of Hera's assistants and her job was to prepare the royal chariot. She was also the goddess of forgiveness.

Hebe later married the demigod Heracles and had two children with him - Alexiaris and Aniketus.
